You’re out on the open sea, alone on a sailboat, crossing the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.

But then, in the blink of an eye, everything changes.

You hear a deafening crash and feel the boat lurch beneath your feet.

Panic sets in as you realize the unthinkable — your boat is sinking, and fast.

You have only moments to grab a few essentials and jump onto a life raft before the boat goes down completely.

In an instant, you’re adrift on the open sea, with no idea when or if you’ll be rescued.

There’s nothing but endless water in every direction.

The sun beats down on your skin, and the waves toss you around like a rag doll, drenching you to the bones.

You’re stranded on a small life raft with no food or water to sustain you.

Your stomach growling in hunger, your lips cracked with thirst, and your mind racing with fear.

“The reality of being adrift is like being awake inside a nightmare.”
