Anyone born and raised here in Patagonia knows this area was a refuge for Nazi criminals.

And not any Nazi criminals, but those of the stature of Adolf Eichmann and Joseph Mengele, in conspiracy with local authorities.

Even the legend that the Führer himself, Adolf Hitler, managed to escape from Berlin and live peacefully in South America until the end of his days has been fed by tenacious insistence.

Local source and renowned international journalist and Nazi expert Abel Basti states that “there would have remained one of Hitler’s most perfect doubles in the Berlin bunker.” The journalist discredits the admitted theory of the suicide and burning of the Führer’s and his wife Eva Braun’s bodies; he states the Allies validated those testimonies to reinforce the end of the War and the Nazi threat.

Basti claims to base his theory “on a score of direct testimonies that saw Hitler after the war,” such as Carmen Torrontegui, cook at the San Ramon ranch, supposedly the dictator’s first residence in Bariloche. The researcher also claims to have found clues in FBI documents and assures…
