Musette, it’s incredible to see how so many experts and planners, even with all their degrees and experience, missed the full force of what was coming. It highlights just how much the rules of nature are changing, even in places that seemed safer bets. And yet, the lack of political action, despite such clear signs, is enraging.

We can’t afford to keep pretending that any place is immune when even helicopters and mules are now lifelines. This has to be a wake-up call — but will they listen?
