It’s a harsh reality, Michael, and I’m not sure we have the luxury of thinking we’ll magically outgrow this ignorance. We’ve heard the warnings for decades, and yet here we are—leaders still ignoring or downplaying climate change, while we burn. Future history books won’t just have a lot to say about these responses—they’ll be the epitaphs of civilizations that chose short-term profits over long-term survival.
