I'm also into composting and and I feel very much reflected in your words. We also live in a world where the word garbage is so bastardized and is associated with the disposable, the unusable, the dirty and what must be kept hidden from view when in fact, looking at it from this perspective, it is the opposite (and your words make it so clear).
