Last year, I read 48 books. By November 20th, my count was 46 and on pace to 52. Then the World Cup kicked off. And from then on, it was impossible to think about anything else. Even more, when you feel that there is a month (and a mission) of a lifetime ahead of you.

So for this year, my commitment is to read one book a week: that is my 2023 reading resolution. Browse different genres (mostly between biographies, non-fiction, and novels), mix short books with long ones, and discover remote and unplanned reading corners where my curiosity might lead me.

Now that we are World Champions, there is a chance to succeed.

Anyways, I’m still proud of myself and my 48-book score. And a 48-book review would be like writing a book by itself. And books are divided in chapters.

So I decided to fractionize my 2022 book reviews into 12 chapters of 4 books. A chapter — a month.

CHAPTER I

1. The General Understanding of the World (Eduardo Sacheri)
